Beaumont in Wildwood draws two types of buyers I see regularly: retirees and near-retirees who want The Villages lifestyle without The Villages price tag, and working families or hybrid commuters who need quick access to I-75 and the Florida Turnpike without living inside a major metro. Both groups find exactly what they are looking for here.

The highway access is the real story. Wildwood sits at the precise intersection of I-75 and the Turnpike — what locals call the Crossroads of Florida — putting Orlando and Tampa each within an hour. That makes Beaumont a serious option for buyers who work in either city but want to own a detached home in a gated, amenity-rich setting at a price point those metros cannot match.

The D.R. Horton product itself is clean and well-appointed: granite countertops, smart home technology, and a community package that includes a pool, fitness center, pickleball courts, bocce ball, and trails. It reads like a resort amenity list without the resort overhead.

Buyers cross-shopping Beaumont typically look at communities along the 429 and 27 corridors around Clermont, or at communities on the southern edge of The Villages proper. What Beaumont offers that those alternatives often cannot is the Turnpike on-ramp literally at the doorstep, in a gated setting with a finished amenity base.
