Accessibility.

MaxLife Realty is committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities. This page describes our current accessibility standards, known limitations, and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier.

Our standard

MaxLife Realty targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are published by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) and represent the current international standard for accessible web content.

WCAG 2.1 AA conformance means our site aims to be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people using assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice recognition software, and browser zoom.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML5 heading structure on all pages
  • Descriptive alt text on content images; decorative images marked aria-hidden
  • Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements
  • Color contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA minimums (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI elements)
  • Form fields labeled and associated with their inputs
  • Skip-to-main-content link available for keyboard users
  • Videos captioned or described where captions are available
  • No content that flashes more than three times per second
  • Responsive layout that works at 320px viewport width and 400% text zoom without horizontal scrolling

Known limitations

While we work toward full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, some areas of this site currently have known limitations:

  • Third-party IDX (MLS listing search) embed — this widget is provided by Stellar MLS / iHomefinder and may not be fully keyboard-accessible. We are working with our MLS provider on improvements.
  • Google Maps embeds — interactive map features may not be fully operable via keyboard alone. Equivalent location information is available as text on all pages that use maps.
  • Some older PDF documents may not be tagged for screen reader access. If you need an accessible version of a specific document, contact us and we will provide one promptly.
  • Background video in the homepage hero is muted and paused when reduced-motion preferences are detected. If the video causes difficulty, contact us.

Assistive technology compatibility

This site is designed to work with assistive technologies including:

  • NVDA with Firefox on Windows
  • JAWS with Chrome on Windows
  • VoiceOver with Safari on macOS
  • VoiceOver with Safari on iOS
  • TalkBack with Chrome on Android
  • Keyboard-only navigation in all modern browsers

Request an accommodation

MaxLife Realty is a boutique brokerage, not a large automated platform — which means we can often accommodate your specific needs directly. If you require information about a property in an alternative format, need assistance navigating the site, or would like to conduct your search via phone rather than the web, we are glad to help.

Report an accessibility barrier

We review accessibility feedback and prioritize fixes on an ongoing basis. If you encounter a barrier on this site, please tell us:

  • The page URL where the barrier occurred
  • A description of what you were trying to do
  • The assistive technology or browser you were using

Send reports to ryan@maxliferealty.com with the subject “Accessibility.” We aim to respond within two business days.

Formal complaint process

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility complaint, you may contact the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regarding accessibility barriers in connection with real estate services, or the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division for complaints related to Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) where applicable.

Continuous improvement

This site is under active development. We conduct manual accessibility reviews and use automated tools (axe, Lighthouse) as part of our development process. This statement is reviewed and updated as changes are made to the site.
