Our commitment
MaxLife Realty LLC, and its broker Ryan Solberg (FL License #BK3354351), are committed to the principles of the Federal Fair Housing Act of 1968 and all subsequent amendments, the Florida Fair Housing Act (Chapter 760, Florida Statutes), and all other applicable federal, state, and local fair housing laws.
We provide equal professional service to all persons seeking to buy, sell, rent, or finance real property, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other class protected by applicable law. In Florida, state law additionally prohibits discrimination based on age and marital status.
Protected classes
The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing based on the following protected characteristics:
- Race
- Color
- National origin
- Religion
- Sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation under current HUD guidance)
- Familial status (households with children under 18, pregnant persons, and persons with legal custody of children)
- Disability (physical and mental)
Florida law additionally protects against discrimination based on age (40 and older in housing transactions) and marital status.
What this means in practice
MaxLife Realty will not, on the basis of any protected class:
- Refuse to show, sell, or rent real property
- Vary the terms, conditions, or services offered
- Steer any person toward or away from a particular neighborhood
- Represent that housing is unavailable when it is available
- Discriminate in the provision of brokerage services
- Discriminate in the provision of financing or recommend discriminatory financing
Neighborhood information
MaxLife Realty provides objective, factual neighborhood information — school ratings, commute times, walkability data, and proximity to amenities — that applies equally to all buyers. We do not provide information about the demographic composition of any neighborhood, and we do not factor protected class characteristics into any recommendation, showing, or analysis.
If you ask us about neighborhood demographics, we will decline to answer and will instead direct you to publicly available census data. This is not evasion — it is compliance with federal law.
Accessibility in transactions
The Fair Housing Act requires that covered multifamily housing built for first occupancy after March 13, 1991 meets specific accessible design requirements. MaxLife Realty can help buyers identify properties that meet accessibility requirements and assist sellers in understanding their disclosure obligations. We make no misrepresentations about accessibility features.
