Ridgewood Lakes

Ridgewood Lakes traces its origins to January 1994, when the Ridgewood Lakes Master Association was incorporated in Polk County, followed just twelve days later by the first sub-community HOA, The Forest. Development accelerated through the mid-1990s as Central Florida's Four Corners corridor became a destination for master-planned golf communities serving the growing Disney and tourism economy. High Vista at Ridgewood Lakes — the community's first dedicated 55+ active adult section — was built by JL Land Corporation beginning in 1995 and completed in 2005, delivering 623 single-family homes anchored by an outdoor pool, spa, shuffleboard courts, and the community's hallmark walking trails.

The Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club, with its 18-hole championship course designed by Ted McAnlis, became the community's defining physical and marketing centerpiece. The course features four sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all skill levels across a layout that winds through the community's conservation corridors and residential sections. Del Webb entered the community in 2007, opening Del Webb Orlando at Ridgewood Lakes (originally called La Cresta by Del Webb) and adding approximately 830 homes to the 55+ portion of the development alongside a full resort-style amenity complex.

Today Ridgewood Lakes encompasses six sub-communities — High Vista, Del Webb Orlando, The Forest, Ridgewood Pointe, The Gallery condominiums, and Atria — each with its own HOA and rules while sharing the master-gated entry, guard service, main boulevard landscaping, and shared tennis facilities. The community sits in the 33837 ZIP code along Highway 27, with direct access to I-4 and the broader Disney corridor.
