Mission Lake

Mission Lake Villas is a small, established patio-home community located in the heart of Suntree in Melbourne, Brevard County. The community is made up of 65 individual single-story homes positioned around a central lake — a design approach common to Suntree PUD sub-associations developed from the late 1980s through the 1990s. Suntree's master plan, initiated in 1975, deliberately incorporated over 1,000 acres of lakes and waterways throughout the PUD, and Mission Lake Villas exemplifies how individual sub-associations were platted to orient homes toward that water infrastructure.

The development has its own active homeowners association — Mission Lake Villas HOA — which manages common area maintenance, the shared lakefront environment, and community standards. The community is positioned off North Wickham Road, a location that gives residents access to the full Suntree-Viera commercial corridor without navigating deep into residential streets. The small size of the community — 65 homes — creates an unusually tight-knit resident dynamic compared to the larger Suntree sub-associations, and turnover is low.
