A brief history

Bridgewater at Viera is the Space Coast's first and only purpose-built 55-and-better community, developed by Lennar through its WCI division on a roughly 408-acre parcel inside the Viera master plan. Site work began in 2017 and the first homeowners moved in that same year; construction of single-family and attached "garden" homes carried through to about 2023, and at full build-out the community is planned for approximately 870 homes. The amenity centerpiece — a roughly 23,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor clubhouse — was delivered in phases as the neighborhood grew, anchoring Bridgewater as one of Brevard County's most amenity-rich active-adult addresses.
