It is a small, deliberately quiet coastal town at the southern tip of the Daytona Beach barrier island where oceanfront living, deep-water boating, and a strict development posture combine to produce an inventory that rarely turns over.
The employment anchor here is the Daytona Beach corridor to the north — Halifax Health, AdventHealth, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a wide range of Volusia County professional services sit roughly ten miles up the peninsula. That's a twenty-minute drive in most conditions, close enough for working buyers while far enough to feel genuinely removed from urban density. A growing share of Ponce Inlet owners simply don't commute at all; remote professionals and early retirees have made this one of the more self-sufficient buyer pools on Florida's Atlantic coast.
