Overview
Indian Harbour Beach is a small barrier-island city of about 9,006 residents wedged between Satellite Beach to the north and Indialantic to the south. It shares the 32937 ZIP with Satellite Beach and South Patrick Shores. The Atlantic Ocean defines the east side; the Banana River Lagoon defines the west. The Eau Gallie Causeway crosses the river to mainland Melbourne and the City of Eau Gallie at the south end of town. Indian Harbour Beach was incorporated in 1955 and developed primarily through the 1960s and 1970s as engineers and Air Force families built out the South Beaches; the housing stock today reflects that era — mid-century slab ranches, established beach blocks, and pockets of newer infill. Median household income sits near $98,400 — among the highest in coastal Brevard (city-data.com, NeighborhoodScout).
